"The art of letting go"

A Feature Article

By: Allyson Jane Cruz

“Learn to let go. Not everything in your life is meant to stay.” As days, months and years passed, I learned that life doesn’t have shortcuts. There are no shortcuts in pain, agony, and despair. Th

at’s why I faced those heart-breaking disasters.

When we are in love, we gave, attach and invest too much. Sacrificing everything and leaving nothing to ourselves. Holding every single string that could save the relationship. Pleading and wishing for him to stay.

But in the journey of loving sometimes, we must let go of the one that we love the most. Leaving those sweet memories that you’ve shared. Trying to stand up and recover from the pain.

Sometimes, holding on does more damage than letting go. Certain things in life need to be left behind. Some things are meant to be broken. There are things that you must let go of. ‘Cause if you fighting, you’ll hurt yourself more.

It is easy to say the “Move On” and “Move Forward” but if you are in a real situation, you barely can’t do anything but cry.

Learn to wipe your tears away and start smiling. Learn to stop loving him and start loving yourself. Learn to let go and start a new journey. Learn to stop the fight and accept the loss. Close the chapter of your love and move on.
