An earthquake is a natural calamity that could change everything in just one snap. It can change our beliefs, faith, and everything that we had. How this one-shot disaster can change my life in an instant?

July 16, 1990, a date to remember. It became memorable because of the damage it done. It destroyed many buildings, roads, and houses as well. This earthquake also brought landslides that caused the death of people.

​

Another terrifying earthquake happened on October 15, 2013. This quake is felt in the whole Visayas area. It also brought massive destruction to infrastructures, landmasses, and buildings. It was declared the deadliest earthquake in the Philippines.

​

Now, we are frightened of the earthquake that is called “The Big One” it is expected to have a 9.0 or greater magnitude. Some people said: “it is the end of our lives and our planet.” While others stated that “this is the punishment for our wrongdoing.” Right now we are just giving some conclusions on to that so-called "The Big One". The only thing we can do is to be ready and have on HIM.

No matter how strong calamities are we could face them easily. Even though it will destroy our properties and houses it doesn’t matter at all. Despite the sorrow and grief that we might face along the way. We could still survive and overcome it. Because Filipinos have enormous strength that can never be wreck nor destroy by any earthquake and disaster.
