Love is the greatest thing you can experience but it is also the hardest. Being in love is easy, the butterflies in the stomach, the romantic songs, and the fast heartbeats. But what if the butterflies flew away, the romantic songs happened to stop and the love was gone? The joyous memories became a bitter-sweet nightmare.

 

The searing pain of a failed relationship will attack you. The pain, the agony, and the heartbreak. You feel that your heart was crushed into million pieces. The love that you are holdin’ on suddenly turns you down. Your inspiration became your greatest destruction. The love you are feeling became hatred and revenge. Now, I offer you 13 steps in dealing with your broken heart.

 

1. Feel the pain.

2. Let go of the memories

3. Accept the truth.

4. Surrender your broken heart to God.

5. Explore new things

6. Lean on your friends

7. Give yourself time to heal.

8. Change how you see your past

9. Evaluate your feelings

10. Forgive the person.

11. Learn from your mistakes

12. Love yourself.

13. Love deeply, AGAIN.

 

There is time for pain, maybe you are facing it right now but remember that if your chapter ended with him, it is not the end of the story yet. There will be new chapters, new seasons, and new books for your life. Just keep holding on and continue your greatest journey.
