An Essay

In this country full of uncertain events and problems; teenage pregnancy, corruption, disasters, etc. Let us have a dose of inspiration!

I truly believe that education is the key to success. Our dreams are like oxygen. We need it to breathe. We need it to grow. We need it to live. So I would like to introduce a story of a girl with great love for studying, my very own idol – Iah Bantang Seraspi.

​

Iah Bantang Seraspi came from a poor family; her father (an angler) is the only one who provides for them. Mostly coffee, salt, sugar, and chips serve as their viand. Despite their situation, Iah grew up as a happy, positive, smart, and hardworking kid. Their situation did not block her from achieving her dreams. She became a tutor for kids to help her family financially.

She studied at a State University, which is not a big deal for her. She managed to survive and fulfill her dreams. Iah graduated as Valedictorian in High school and Cum Laude in College. She also garnered 2nd place during the Secondary School Teachers Licensure Exam.

​

Her journey in achieving her dreams is truly inspiring. Let us all strive to be a kid who is hungry for food but never hungry for education.
